MPLS & Ethernet World will be organized next 8 to 11 February 2011.
The objectives set by Upperside for the 2011 edition is to confirm the progression established in 2010.
MPLS World and the Carrier Ethernet Workshop will once again allow us to benefit from the enlightenment of the precise stakes involved in the convergence of the MPLS & Ethernet protocols, particularly their respective roles in the access networks.
The 2011 Agenda : MPLS-TP, Aggregation, Multicast Issues, Data Center Interconnection
The 2011 agenda will again privilege operator and enterprise scenarios and testimonies. Particular attention will be paid to packet transport standards and mechanisms, aggregation, mobile backhaul and multicast issues.
The proposals will be analyzed and categorized according to their degree of pertinence by the members of the scientific committee.
The Carrier Ethernet Workshop 2011
The fifth edition of the Carrier Ethernet Worshop will discuss technological and detailed implementation issues in parallel with the traditional MPLS Tutorial addressed by the IP/MPLS Forum. The workshop will be addressed by the MEF ambassadors for the standardization process review. Other sessions will welcome vendors for business models and solutions descriptions and carriers for deployment reports.
The Interop Platform
For the 8th time in a row, EANTC validated last February 2010 the latest advances in MPLS and Carrier Ethernet based transport networks – testimony to the continued importance and innovation of this technology over the years. 13 participating vendors used this opportunity to validate interoperability of their devices in a range of new test areas, focusing especially on Mobile Backhaul Synchronization, MPLS-TP pre-Draft standard and Ethernet Ring Protection.
The European Advanced Networking Test Center in collaboration with Upperside Conferences will once again invite industrials to a multi-vendor MPLS & Ethernet interoperability test in January 2011.
Participation is open to all vendors of MPLS routers and switches, traffic emulators and analyzers, provisioning and fault management vendors
Exhibition Space: More Time, More Space
The exhibition space will once again ratify MPLS & Ethernet World as the only real scientific exhibition dedicated to this technology.
The exhibition will gain in scope with the addition of service providers wishing to demonstrate their services to enterprises.
From the 2011 edition onwards, our exhibition hours will undergo a slight change. The exhibition will open on Tuesday morning and go on till Friday afternoon instead of from Wednesday to Friday.
Upperside plans to welcome 50 exhibitors in 2011.
